We’ve been having a hard time finding properties to acquire that fit within our model for the past few months. We decided to expand our strategies and started looking for houses that are possible “buy and holds,” or houses to use as rental properties that will cash flow for us.
It’s paid off, and in the past week or two we have found multiple good candidates for us to make offers on. We’re happy to say that we have an accepted offer on a cute little house near San Antonio. It’s in a neighborhood with no obvious drug trafficking, too!
The house was cute as a bug in its Google Maps photo, but we noticed it was taken quite some time ago. The intervening years were NOT kind, and the house now looks sad—in other words, a candidate for Hermit Haus Redevelopment!
We have multiple possible exit strategies for this Meadow Arbor house, but the one we hope to start with is cleaning and painting, getting the landscaping back to its former neat and attractive state, and renting it for a year or two, at least. Then we’ll re-evaluate.
Updates on this one will come soon!
