On the recent Labor Day holiday, I got to thinking about the work we do here. It takes so many people to find new projects, keep our projects going, do our marketing, and talk to potential clients! When you are in the midst of your day-to-day work, you sometimes forget to thank the people who make that work possible. They toil along beside you, stick with frustrating projects, and manage to find the humor, even when they cut their fingers off, fall off a ladder, or are yelled at by strangers. If we don’t stick together and support each other, this whole business will just stall out.
In that vein, I’m sharing flowers with all my Hermit Haus Redevelopment colleagues and connections. Plus, I have a few special thank you notes, so bear with me here.
First, I’ll thank my fellow directors: Russell, if it weren’t for you, we never would have come up with this business in the first place. Thanks for being such a big-picture thinker, and for persisting in encouraging us to go to that FortuneBuilders meeting in the first place! And thank you, as always, for your technical savvy and your unflagging networking in the Austin area. Thanks to you, we have so many great contacts and are becoming more and more connected with others. And your strong focus on goals and outcomes keeps us on course. You’re also a great friend, and I appreciate all that listening to me that you’ve done over the years.
