While we’re negotiating offers on some of our other properties, we’re still working to get the St. John house more appealing.
The ever-intrepid Russell headed back down there over the weekend to deal with the tangle of bushes around the house and the rather prominent dead tree in the back yard. He was a regular one-man sawing and chopping machine!
The front yard landscaping bushes had gotten so big that you couldn’t really see the front of the house, so he trimmed them up to look natural, but smaller.
Then, he pruned the shrubbery on the side yard down to the ground level, assuming they will bush out nicely once spring rolls around.
In a final feat of strength, Russell managed to get most of the large tree down. The end result is a bit of a stump that could easily be used to hang plants on or grow a vine over. It’s much less distracting now, that’s for sure. We’re so grateful that he’s willing to head over and do this hard work himself. We are also grateful that he works out so much, so he is a strong destroyer of plant matter.
