We’re very excited about the progress at the Oakridge progress, led by GC Ray Ramirez. It’s keeping close to schedule (other than rain delays on exterior painting), and the changes are impressive.
Inside the house, painting is going on, and there are some custom touches being added that Carol is sure will increase the appeal of the home to buyers. One example is that there were some nice turned wood posts in the house, which Carol and Ray decided to use in the island to hold up the granite on one end. That’s seen a lot in new homes these days, and will add a nice touch with little expense.
They are also adding some custom molding on some of the ceilings that won’t look like every other house in the neighborhood, but will come across as modern and stylish.
The exterior painting is almost done, and the house looks much fresher.
A lot of clean-up has been accomplished on the landscaping. There was a great deal of scraps of iron all over the yard, which we passed on to a collector/recycler. Once that was done, Carol and Russell discovered really rich soil in the beds, which they spent much of the weekend straightening up and mulching. Curb appeal, here we come!
