This update is a little early, but we’re excited.
It’s the day we thought would happen right after Chris started working on the Rattlesnake house! He’s ready for sheetrock! For real. As you can hear for yourself in Chris’s report from yesterday, all that work under the floors, in the walls, and where no one will see it is finally done. The floors won’t fall in. The water lines go where they are supposed to go. We are ready for the new windows. Whew.
I’m really glad this has been done, even though it will cost us in the short run. It will make the house livable for many more years to come, and that’s what counts when we want to sell someone a house. When we were just going to use it as a guest house, we probably would not have done all this, but for Mandi’s family, it’s important to get things done right.
Chris moved the bathroom sink upstairs, which will make the room seem bigger, and there have been a few other tweaks, but I think we’re ready to roll on the project. Hooray! It’s about time!
