This little piece of wall art is in the dog bedroom under the stairs. I will be adding pictures of all of their friends in there soon. On the outside, I plan to make those clay paw prints with their names and hang them on the wall.
[This got published late, thanks to SOMEONE being on vacation and not turning on her computer.]
We are actively moving into The Rattlesnake! As you can see, we even have some wall art up! The beds will be moved by Saturday and once they are moved, the dogs will move as well.
We are all so excited. My youngest son, Jacob, is so excited because he will be a bus rider on Monday. They are also very excited for the new house, their new rooms, having their own space (and lots of it), and being back out in the country again. Of course, I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. I get so excited that I can’t sit still and feel like I’ve got ants in my pants at times.
I don’t have any “adventures in moving” stories yet. I’m sure that they will happen. Hopefully nothing too exciting. We have to take some very large and heavy items up the stairs. One of the large items is a king-sized mattress that Lee and Sue Ann gave me. I hope it will fit through the space in the stairway, but if not, we do have that sliding glass door and balcony that we could hoist it up to [hint: it did not fit]. I have many pieces of left over lumber and miscellaneous building materials that I am using to build a frame for the mattress. I am still deciding on what to do for a headboard. It can’t be tall because of the angle in the ceiling. I will thing of something.

A few pictures I bought for the office are now at Rattlesnake. They worked well in the office now, but I will have a lot less space that needs decorating at the new place.
Next?
Once I get some of my up-cycling projects done, I will share them and how to do them. One is using a dresser for a TV table, taking the mirror out of the top piece, and fixing the TV in that space. I think my living room TV is going to be too big, but it would work in one of the bedrooms. The living room TV I am going to build a wooden frame to go around it, and hide all of the sides and base. It should look like a picture frame sitting on a shelf when I’m finished.
So many things to do! But now it is all the really fun stuff! I can’t wait for Lee and Sue Ann to get back from vacation so she can see what I get done and help me out when I (inevitably) get stuck on how to design something.

To the far left is a group picture of the Yoe High Band from 2014. My oldest was a freshman, and it was his first high school band competition. The picture in the middle is the centerpiece of what will be a wall of pictures of my kiddos. They are my sunshine!

There is the second piece of wall art from the office that says “Be-you-tiful!” I also have one that is my favorite in the hallway next to the youngest boys’ room that says, “Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do.” That is the perfect theme for this house.
