We are officially moved into the new offices! Now we have all the grand unpacking and furniture placing to do (which is mostly done now). We are all tired, but it’s a good kind of tired. We have a few outside Christmas decorations up, and all of our stuff is here now. It was hard to leave the Travis house, but I am so happy to know that it is going to be well taken care of. Now that I am in my new office (even though it is temporary) I am excited and happy! It feels cozy. I do need to name the bears and bunny on the wall, I think. When it is time to change these walls, I think I will cut a piece out and keep them for my new office. Perhaps our readers could give me some ideas about names for them.

My Dad and I have been on stage together several times. It would be almost impossible to count just how many.
Amid all of this excitement of moving, I was also a last-minute fill-in for our community theater’s Christmas play. It was a ton of fun! I played one of the three little pigs named “Twig.” Guess what my house was built out of. My Dad was also in it as “Jacob Midas,” and he was hilarious as always. We got to pick a couple of people from the audience to come up and dance on stage. We brought up Sue Ann and her sister, Canova. I think they enjoyed themselves.
But Wait, There’s More

This is how Phoenix sleeps. I had enough time to go to the back of the house, get my phone, rotate my tires, fry an egg, and unlock my phone to take this picture.
We also adopted a new member of the fur family. Phoenix was our foster that I wrote about, who was previously named “Sweetie.” She was adopted out, but was too high energy for the family. Sometimes that happens, and I think that family was very brave to make the choice to bring her back. Their perfect companion is out there, and they will be a wonderful family.
Phoenix works for our family, because she became part of an established pack and has all the room she could need to burn that energy off. Maggie (the little dachshund) is also very high energ,y and the two of them can exercise and play together.
It was an incredibly busy, exhausting, and wonderful week for this Hermit.
Whew
I’m mostly adjusted into my new office now, and still sorting through things and putting things where they belong.
Fortunately, Sue Ann has done A LOT of the unpacking, cleaning, and decorating. It looks so much better in here than it did before she started working her magic! Oh, and she brought a bowl full of candy up here, so big win! It’s probably meant for guests, but I am an actress after all. I can pretend I don’t work here.
