It’s beginning to look a lot like a house at Russet Valley. The granite, backsplash, faucets, and kitchen lighting have all been installed this week, reports our project manager, Carol.
And they’re looking good, too. The granite goes well with the rustic theme and adds a nice contrast to the neutral walls and white cabinetry.
Carol has selected dark rubbed bronze faucets and doorknobs, to add more contrast.
The backsplash in the kitchen is in the very popular marble style you see in all the home renovation television shows, done in a really nice pattern. We have decided to go with white appliances, which will make the kitchen look larger. We have been seeing a lot of white appliances in new up-scale renovations, so it’s making a comeback! The vent hood is not quite the right color, so we’ll either get a new one, or refresh this one with appliance paint.
The final decorative touch for this week is the kitchen pendant lighting, which will be visible throughout the main living/dining area. They are another rustic choice that will add a unique touch to the decor of this house.
There isn’t much left to do on this project! There is some tiling going in to replace carpet, and just a few other touches.
Ready to Buy This Beauty?
We have filled out the paperwork so that Carol can put it on the market really soon. It’s already generated a lot of interest from the neighbors, so be sure to let any friends and family interested in a house in the Buttercup Creek neighborhood of Cedar Park to be on the lookout!
Call 512-807-8777 to schedule a showing as soon as the house is ready.
To brighten your weekend even more, here are a couple extra photos of the kitchen and one of the master bath with countertops.
