We’ve been eagerly looking forward to photos of the Russet Valley house exterior (because I’m too short of time to drag myself to Cedar Park, I guess). And now we can get a real good idea of what it’s going to look like. It’s no longer blue, that’s for sure! The house now looks huge with the plants trimmed back and the main body all a nice creamy white.
Fun things are in store, too. There will be a rustic accent on the garage, along with wood surrounding the porch post. And as for the front porch, it’s getting expanded by adding rows of old bricks that were already in the yard from a previous project. I’m glad we could recycle them.
The front porch will be even nicer than it was before, and more visible, too, with some of the plants removed. According to Carol, they are keeping the nice front door, but replacing the glass with some pretty beveled panels. Wow!
As for the back yard (see below), the foundation is ready for the back porch, and lots of concrete is waiting to be poured. It’s going to really be a nice size. The back yard plants also got trimmed, but the mother of all my agave plants at the ranch is still there. Sniff. It makes me all sentimental.
Meanwhile, in addition to the new accent on the peninsula I showed you earlier, the team has taken the cabinetry up to the ceiling and added crown molding. They also replaced the wire shelving in the pantry with solid shelving, which makes storage a lot easier. That’s just a little touch that will appeal to buyers.
Also, lighting is going in. I can’t wait to see what that pendant light looks like when the house is all staged.
The master bedroom’s carpet has been removed and replaced with tile that matches the rest of the house. It’s pretty tile and low maintenance, so it’s a win!
Carol is hoping to get landscapers in as soon as possible, so there will be something beautiful to look at from the new back porch.
Here are lots more fun photos!
