We had some unexpected things come up in Cameron over the weekend, so I never got over to check on the Washington house rehab progress. In any case, I knew there would be no exterior painting done, with all the rain going on. Maybe this week!
What did happen was the flooring installation got going. The floors look just great, even in progress. With the baseboards and everything added, it’s going to be a perfect complement to the light colored walls.
I’m still impressed with how natural this high-quality vinyl flooring is. It looks like wood, even down to the texture, yet it will withstand kids and pets much better.
The final touch on our ongoing renovation project is the front door! It will be painted to match the trim, but it already looks much better than the scratched up old door. We’ll be all done in a week or two, and have yet another one on the market.
Speaking of on the Market
We got an offer on the Russet Valley house right after the open house yesterday. We’ll see if that goes through or not, but it always feels good to see an offer on the first listing day! Come back tomorrow, when I’ll have some gorgeous photos of the house all staged for sale. Carol’s staging is top notch!
