We got to check out the newly installed granite at the Washington house today, and we were delighted by what we saw. All the bathrooms and the kitchen are looking pretty darned sharp. Be sure to check the end of this post for more photos of the granite.
The ganite, cabinets and tile will really look snazzy together, I think. And that nice, deep kitchen sink is a winner for anyone who is the family dish-doer.
While I was there, we got some of the new light bulbs put in the fixtures, and that looked pretty spectacular. The new sconces are in, but not installed yet, so I just put their bulbs with them. It will look soooooo nice.
Another thing that impressed us was that they have painted the garage and repaired all the issues with the walls in there. Wow. It looks great. We were told it took six gallons of paint, though! Wow!
Little touches
I just couldn’t resist putting up the sign we bought yesterday at Lowe’s on the mantel. I know we aren’t going to stage the house much, since that’s not a Cameron kind of thing to do, but this sign cried out to be in the house. And to prove the house is a happy place, just look at little Cody’s smile!
Since I was showing Mandi the shower curtain we got, I figured I should take a picture to show how it ties the tile in the bathtub surround together with the walls, plus adds a little color to the house, which is quite uniform in color otherwise.
I’m thinking of bringing in just a couple of bright things to put on the shelves and in the kitchen. Maybe we could use one of our square tables in the office here, with a cloth on it, and two of our chairs, to highlight the dining room, too.
We’ll see. Jennifer is hoping to put it on the market in two or three weeks!
