How do we know it’s coming soon? Because our project manager/real estate pro on the project, Jennifer, put a coming soon For Sale sign in front of the house. Yay! And it’s true, there are very few items left on our to-do list.
One Oopsie
For example, we finally have the right kitchen faucet. I made an understandable mistake, though: I ordered an inexpensive faucet in the right color, but when it showed up, it turned out to be one of those “bar” faucets that only does cold water! That would have made dish washing a challenge, wouldn’t it? When I looked at the faucet that showed up, it was really tiny. I am wondering now if we actually got the wrong faucet, but it’s okay. We will be able to install it in another project, I’m sure.
I ended up with not much choice, since we had to get a replacement immediately, so were limited to what was in stock in Temple. Luckily, Mandi happened to be heading there for an errand of her own, and she was able to get it for us the same day I found it. Teamwork makes it happen!
A Couple Other Items
Jennifer decided we really needed to replace the shower head in the main bathroom, since it was silver and everything else is rubbed bronze and also that we need a fireplace insert for the fireplace. Those items didn’t take too long to get here, but also still need to be installed before the house can go on the market.
