That’s right folks, you can now use the restroom and wash your hands afterwards at the Rattlesnake House. Well, you could if there were toilet paper or hand towels, but the water part works. We have even seen water running in the “fancy bathtub” in the master bathroom. Plus, that bathroom is completely tiled and has its sink working. It is SO cute.
The upstairs bathroom has the shower surround installed, which was not easy with the sloping roof interfering, but it got mostly finished this week, and actually looks pretty good.
People could actually live there, we think. Mandi even boldly opened the dishwasher, which is no worse for wear after sitting there for three years waiting for the house to be renovated (we used the stove and fridge in my sister’s house, but Mandi has a good stove and will get a nicer fridge).
We Have a Plan
We were dreading the idea of having to do the tile floors ourselves, so Mandi had a talk with our really nice new tenant at our Sunset house, David (conveniently enough, he does contract work!). She was hoping maybe he could come by and at least get everyone started in the right direction. Instead he made a bid on doing it for us that Mandi can afford! (It helps that we finally got one of our refunds from that Big Box Store with which we are irritated).
