[Note: Chris and team are wrapping up their part of the house, and now the Hermits and family are taking over the last few things.]
We are here! Plumbing fixtures are going in! This great, old, cast iron sink that was pulled out of the Travis 2 house is now at home in the Rattlesnake!
The original sink idea was something newer and shorter. I had seen basin type sinks done, but I didn’t want that. Some of those sinks are incredibly pretty in the right setting, they would suit the cabinets, but they just do not mesh with me very well. I really need a “clean side” and a “dirty side,” just like a bachelor pad laundry room. Sue Ann reminded me that this sink needed a new home. Last Saturday, we loaded up and went to get started!
First thing’s first!
The sink needed to be cleaned up! Sue Ann (always thinking!) was talking about spraying it down with the water hose to knock off the excess dirt. Then! Ta-Da! She broke out the power washer! The sink really started getting clean! At one point Sue Ann said, “Look! it’s changing colors!” and we all laughed. Because it was very true!
