So, I’m getting ready to post a Craigslist ad for our St. John property (2/1 remodel in San Antonio that’s both for lease and for sale with owner financing). But, I know we’re going to get a bunch of fake inquiries that are really distracting.
I know this, because I posted a similar ad for a room in a condo in San Marcos (by the way, it’s $400/mo w/$400 deposit; private bath and bed, shared living and kitchen; very near Texas State campus). The bogus inquiries always follow the same pattern:
- A text inquiry (with typically faulty grammar) with a request to send more info to an email address.
- A follow-up email that reads like a Mad Libs game sheet – same stuff with different details, asking for more information from us.
Well, that’s about as far as I’m willing to entertain this. Part of me is curious to continue answering them, just to see how far this goes, but nobody really has time for that.Hermann says please like and share!
